RYUGU EJECTA DYNAMICS

Simulate a hypervelocity impact onto asteroid Ryugu to interactively create fragments and observe their motion. With this tool you can follow on JAXA’s mission Hayabusa2 path and understand the effects of hitting an asteroid with a small kinetic impactor. 

Instructions

Use the menu to adjust the number of particles simulated (up to a maximum of 30000), their diameter and the ejection location on the asteroid surface using the longitude and latitude. Press Run to generate the particles and regulate the simulation speed. Remember to press Reset before launching another simulation.
